Snowflake MakeUp Look

First of all, sorry for not pposting yesterday, but I had some issues with my friends's and my new year's eve plans. Today I am going to show you what of my winter makeup looks. I call it the snowflake look, because I don't use any bronzer for it, so my skin is almmost white. It's really simple and can be done in under 10 minutes. Let's get right into it!

0. Wash your face and pat it dry with a towel.
1. Moisturize your skin. This is especially important in winter, just apply a light moistruizing cream of your choice to avoid dryness during the dye. I use Nivea Soft. Let it absorb before you continue.
2. Apply some concealer on under-eye circles and blemishes and if needed add some foundation or BB cream. I normally just use the Garnier BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector in the shade light.
3. Add Powder. I can only recommend the Transparent Matte Loose Powder (011) by the polish brand Vipera.
4. Apply blush in a cool, pink-ish color to the apples of your cheeks. Make sure that you don't apply to much and keep it natural. My favourite right now is the Artedeco Blusher 30.
5. For the eyes, first apply some neutral eyeshadow in beige, champagne or light pink or peach to your whole lid, it should not be to shiny though. I use the lightest color in the 01 Peach Lake palette from Kiko.
6. Add just a little bit of the blush you used in step 4 to your crease, optional you can use some light pink or beige (a little bit darker than the first one).
7. Line your upper and lower water line with black or grey eye pencil, but don't make it to harsh. You only want to define your eye a bit. I use eithe Lancome Crayon Kohl Noir or Clarins Crayon Kohl 04 platinum.
8. Line your upper lash line with a gel or liquid eyeliner. I like to use the Professional Eye Liner pen from p2.
9. Put mascara on your upper and lower lashes. My favourite right now is the Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express Cat Eyes.
10. Fill in your eyebrows with a eyebrow pencil on some matte eyeshadow matching your hair/brow color. For me, it's the Benefit Instant Brow Pencil in light to medium.
11. Last, but not least, use some lipgloss or tinted lipbalm. The color should be rather cool, and again, pink-ish, so it matches your blush. I used the Clinique Chubby Stick in Mighty Mimosa (13).

And this is the finished look - pretty simple, don't you think? If you recreate it (as if ;p) make sure to share it with me via Instagram (@heyitsOla) or Twitter (@xloley).

Christmas Playlist

Once again, when I got back home it was already dark, what meant that I couldn't take photos. So I decided to share my Christnas Playlist with you, as it doesn't require that much work and good lighting. The songs you're about to see/hear I've been listening to everyday since the 1st of December and I can't get enough of them. And just one more thing - some of the CD covers are really hard to find and look ridiculous.

Jose Feliciano                                            ABBA

Candle Collection

I am very tired tonight, so I couldn't bring myself to make this a "solid" post, but I still think it is a nice, small feature. Since summer this year, I've bought quite a few candles at Bath&BodyWorks. None of them is exactly "christmas-scented" (besides the smallest one), but I think candles are generally quite wintry. Let me just quickly go through them, before I fall asleep. :)

Tuscan Herbs - this is my biggest candle, as you can see and I really, really like it, it smells so fresh. In fact, I'm burning it right now. / Leaves - This is the ultimate blogger/youtuber candle and it's perfect for fall and winter with it's spicy/cinnamon-y scent. / Heirloom Pear - I bought this fruity-smelling candle last week, I just couldn't stop myself from smelling it again and again in the store. / Lakeside - This is actually the first candle I bought. I can't describe the scent at all, but it really reminds me of summer vacation and lying by the lake in the evening. / Pineapple Mango - another very fruity and sweet scented candle. Mango is my favourite fruit so I just had to get it. / Cotton - The smell of freshly laundered bedding and washing powder is my favourite in the whole world, so this candle is a must for me. / Fresh Balsam - I haven't burnt this one yet, but it smells exactly like fir trees and I can't wait to light it right before christmas eve.

I would highly recommend all of this candles (altough some of them are not being sold right now) and I rate them 11/10.

The Day After Tomorrow

I really don't have anything to say today. Altough I love December and all the preparations for christmas, this year they are getting quite stressfull, because I don't have any presents yet and I kind of spend all my money. I don't have any plans for new year's eve either, which is weird for this time of the month - there ale only 20 days left. As my organisation skills aren't the best, my life is quite chaotic right now, which is very bad, because there is a lot to do until the 24th of December. Not only do I have to buy all the thei gifts, but also decorate the christmas tree (and I'm sick of the golden baubles we've had for the past few years), clean my room for the holidays and keep up with all my uni assigments. The next two weeks are going to be very stressfull.

Christmas Wishlist

christmas wishlist
christmas wishlist by heybebz featuring christmas holiday decor

It is the 9th of December today which means Christmas is right around the corner and I couldn't be more excited. I have already decorated my room a little bit, I created my Christmas playlist and I wore my Christmas jumper. As you can probably tell - I feel veeery festive. Christmas is probably my favourite time of the year (next to vacation) and the snow which fell yesterday made me feel even more christmassy. Anyway, presents are a big part of Christmas. I created this wishlist on polyvore for my parents to have an idea of what I'd like to get this year. Originally it contained around five things, but as I found out that more family is comming I started adding a few smaller bits. Let me just quickly go through them. You can also click on the link under the picture to go to polyvore to get a closer look at the things and even buy them, if you would like.

Teenage Runaway Sweatshirt / Michael Kors Bag (I obviously don't want all three bags, I just couldn't decide. I actually know which I will be getting) / Gossip Girl Season 4 DVD / Phone Case / Triangl Swimsuit / OPI Nailpolish / COMME des FUCKDOWN* Beanie / Zara Skort / Midnight Memories / Customized Nike Air Max / Watch / Fossil Bracelet / Sephora giftcard and/or makeup

Obviously I don't expect to get everything, probably just a few things. It is really fun to make lists like this, though, sane as shopping for christmas presents for my friends and family. I love giving presents and seeing them happy.

Blogmas

Hello everyone. This is not going to be a long post, I just want to share with you what I'm going to be posting the next couple of weeks (2 1/2 to be exact). Anyway, I don't know if something like this already exists (besides vlogmas, obvously), but I came up with this blogmas thing. It is kind of an alternative to vlogmas. Anyway, what I decided to do is, I am going to be posting everyday starting tomorrow (6th December) until Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. I also thought about vlogging my weekends, as I don't do anything exciting during the week. It's friday tomorrow and I'm going to try to film a bit, same on saturday and maybe sunday. If I succed I am going to edit the clips into a little video which I'll put online probably on Sunday. On the days I vlog I am not going to make new posts though. So that would be everything. I hope I'll be able to do what I explained here, because I often come up with ideas but I'm to lazy to do anything. Wish me luck!

Winter Coat

I wanted to buy a new winter coat for a few weeks now and after I had to spend an hour outside, in the middle of the night I decided that it is not a 'want' anymore, but a 'must'. The very next day I went shopping and found this navy jacket at Bershka. It's not very thick but the fur lining still keeps me warm and I am also a big fan of the leather detailing.

November Sounds

Since November has started I've been listening to the same playlist over and over again. Not all of these songs are exactly new, but they are great for the cold and rainy fall weather. In summer I've been enjoying more club and party songs like Animals by Martin Garrix, La Bomba by King Africa and some polish disco polo. But as soon as the weather got worse I changed to calmer, more indie sounds, like Ed Sheeran or Adele. None of them made it to my playlist this week/month, but here are my top 5 songs:

One Direction - Story of my Life
As you may or may not know, I'm a big fan of One Direction, but lately I haven't been paying much attention to them. When I heard this song the first time I wasn't sure if I like it or not, but I decided to download it anyway and every time I listened to it I liked it more and more. Now, after pressing repeat hundreds of times I'm truly obsessed with Story of my Life and it has become my favourite song for fall 2013.

Lana Del Rey - National Anthem
Right now, Lana is my favourite singer. All of her songs are just perfection and I also adore the sad, melancholic and vintage atmosphere in her music videos. After listening to her album Born To Die a couple of times I finally chose my favourite song - National Anthem. Not only the melody is pleasant to listen to, but I can also kind of relate to the lyrics. "Money is the anthem of success, so put on mascara and your party dress..."
Another favourite of mine is Off To The Races , make sure to check it out too!

Christina Perri - A Thousand Years
I remember listening to this song a few months ago, when it first came out. Then I totally forgot about it until my friend reminded me about it last week. I was surprised not to find it in my music library, so I immediately headed over to iTunes and bought it. I like to listen to it not only while falling asleep, but also when walking to uni. And - I have to stop myself from singing it out loud in public.

Miley Cyrus - Wrecking Ball
I think everybody knows this song by now. Some love it, some loathe it (or rather the music video...). I definitely belong to the first group. It is very emotional and beautiful. I also don't get the hype (the bad kind of it) about the music video. I get, that Miley has been acting really weird lately, but it's not like nobody has done things like it before. I was actually really touched while watching it and I may (or may not) have shed a tear or two. You can see that Miley has lost the love of her life and it's more than just her naked on a huge wrecking ball.

Walk the Moon - Iscariot
I first heard (and saw) Walk the Moon when they supported Fun. on their concert in Munich and re-discovered them about a month ago. Their album is really great and fun to listen to. The majority of their songs is rather fast and I enjoy dancing (or rather jumping around my room) to them, but Iscariot is slow and powerful (?). The band from Ohio definitely deserves more attention than it gets, because their songs are catchy and everyone can find something for themselves from it's repertoire.

Well, that has been a bit of a rambling. I'm quite sure there are a few mistakes in the text but the later it gets the worse my english becomes and it's almost 11p.m. now and I'm not exactly rested and full of energy so sorry in advance for my not so good writing skills. As I don't have uni on fridays the weekend has officially begun for me and I can't wait for the Warsaw trip I have planned and also a party I'm going to.
I'm going to end this post here, because I don't want to embarrass myself any further. So goodnight everybody, I hope you like at leat one of my favourite songs!

Fall shopping

As I am a really bad case of shopaholic I had to spend a part of the pocket money I get as soon as it arrived on my card this month. I was looking for a perfect white sweater for a few months now and I finally found it last saturday. It is really simple and sooo soft, I am already in love with it. Another thing I have been eyeing for a while is this New York beanie. I've been wanting a hat like this since forever. If that wasn't enough, I also found the perfect pair of ripped jeans which I now can't stop wearing. Furthermore I was lucky to find a big mid-season sale at Topshop, where I left some more od my money. I'm very happy with the two tops I bought, in fact I'm wearing one of them right now. The last thing I got are these cute silver mid-rings. I bought them in gold a while back and I've been wearing them almost everyday.

Leaves

Fall is here, which means we can get all our cozy sweaters out of the closet, burn scented candles and drink hot chocolate (so tumblr, right?). Altough it's cold outside I like to wear skirts now, rather than when it's warmer. Probably because of my love for tights.. Last friday my friend and me drove to one of the most beautiful places in Warsaw - the Wilanow Palace - to take some fall-themed pictures. We only had around 30 minutes but the ambiance was so nice, that our small photoshoot was really succesfull.

Trends

Hey everyone, it has been really long since I posted something one her but I had to do quite a lot for school. Now, I'm in week 1 of my final exams and I have quite a lot of free time, which I should use for studying. Instead I'm making a new blogpost and I think I'm craving for Gossip Girl (everyone knows how this is going to end). Anyways, as the title says, this post is going to be about trends, S/S 2013 to be more specific. Before that though I wanted to let you know that I made a tumblr style blog on which I am everyday. It's mostly polyvore sets, but as soon as I get to wear some fancier outfits I'll definitely post them on there. Here is the link: fyOla. Also, as in one month school is over for me (I'm kinda sad lol), I hope to get to post on here more often. I'd really like to. But lets get to the point, here are some of my favourite trends of this season!:

trend 1

01. Dungarees/Dungaree Dresses
When I first saw Eleanor Calder with the long dungarees (3rd but darker) I wasn't sure if I like this trend, but I slowly fell in love with it. I'm still not a fan of the long dungarees though. I own a short pair from Zara (similar to the 4th on the picture) and a a pinafore dress from New Look (5th in the picture but different color), but I look forward to getting another pair of these cute jumpsuits. Right now I'm lusting after the bleached denim dungarees from Topshop (1st), but I''d also like to get a dressier pair (like the 2nd). They are a great alternative to a dress.

trend 2

02. Highwaisted Bottoms
It's not a new trend, it has been around since last year or even the year before, I'm aware of thar. But oh my god where has this been all my life?? This is one of my favourite trends of all time. Skirts, shorts, skinny jeans - I love everything that if highwaisted. It doesn't just look cute but is also very flattering for most people. I don't know what I wore befoe the high waist skirts came around.

trend 3

03. Cut Out Shoes
This is more of a spring trend than a summer trend, especially when we look at these boots. First of the famous Topshop Katz. These are more on the dressier side and I have a love-hate relationship with them. The second ones are the Topshop Aftershocks. I cry over them at night. But really, I love low they are tied and I really wish they weren't sold out. And last at not least - the New Look limited leather cut out boots. I've been lusting over them since a month or so and I think I'm gonna ask my dad to order them. They are low stock and the price is really good for the fact that they are genuine leather. I really like how simple yet cute and edgy they are.

trend 3

04. Shift Dresses
I loove, love love this trend! Despite the simple, straight cut these dresses are very flattering, I think. They can be styled up with some heels and nice jewelry or worn casual with some cut sandals and a denim jacket. I also think they would look really good with a detachable collar. The 2nd dress (H&M) is also a denim dress, so it blends two trends together, how cool is that? For now I could get my hands on one shift dress in a thrift shop and I can't wait to wear it when summer comes around. It is a little bit similar to the Victoria Beckham dress (1st), like the colors and all. I found it quite difficult to find nice shift dresses on polyvore, but if you want to buy one I'd recommend checking out H&M (2nd & 3rd) or Zara (4th & 5th), as they have a couple of really nice ones.

trend 5

05. Cropped Tops
If you haven't noticed crop tops then you better get yourself a pair of glasses. They are huge right now. Long sleeve, short sleeve, tight, loose, longer shorther, more casual, more dressy, it's all about crop tops. Just look at these babies (all Topshop), aren't they cute? I personally don't wear them to often, because, let's be honest I don't have the perfect body. And let's be honest, the aren't really flattering. Nevertheless, I think curvier girls could pull them off with some cute high-waisted bottoms. For the best choice I'd check Topshop and Brandy Melville!

And well, that would be it for today. I could think of a couple more trends I like but I got kinda bored doing this, so I'll just do a part two some other time. xx
